5. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? 1 John 5:5. You cannot be a child of the most High God without separating yourself from this world. We are born in the world but those who believe Christ is the Son of God, who died for the sins of the world, rose from death on the third day, was received into heaven, and sits at the right hand of the Almighty, will have left the sins of this world behind and begins living a life in love and obedience to Christ the Lord. It is no easy road and the Father has sent the Spirit of God to comfort and instruct us, in daily separating us from the world of destruction, transforming us into the image of Christ. To the world this is foolishness and insanity. To the redeemed it is our hope of access to the eternal reward in Christ Jesus. Amen.
