Back then, time was taken seriously.
You didn’t run on excuses.
You ran on discipline.
If you were early, you were safe.
If you were on time, you were nervous.
If you were late, you knew you were in trouble.
Nobody had to explain it.
You just knew.
There were no reminders.
No notifications.
No second chances hiding in your pocket.
There was just a watch.
And the responsibility to respect it.
Being late meant you didn’t care.
Being early meant you were raised right.
You learned that showing up mattered.
Even when you didn’t feel like it.
Even when nobody was watching.
That little watch wasn’t just telling time.
It was teaching character.
It was teaching respect.
It was teaching you that your word meant something.
Back then, punctuality wasn’t optional.
It was a reflection of who you were.
Today, everyone runs behind.
Back then, you ran ahead.
And somewhere along the way…
We stopped caring about the clock.
And started wondering why nothing seems to run right anymore.
