18. For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
1 Peter 3:18.
The high priest had to go once a year into the holiest place behind the veil to make atonement for his and the people's sins.
Christ took our sins to the cross, was murdered, paying the price of sin, which is death.
He was raised from death, never to experience it again.
Christ only had to do this once because He alone is the only acceptable sacrifice for sin.
Christ, being raised from death, now sits at the right hand of the Almighty.
Christ has been given a name above every creation, and all authority and power have been given to Him by the Almighty Father.
Through His sacrifice, we can be restored to the Almighty. Our sins are forgiven and forgotten.
Our punishment dismissed, we, because of Christ, are declared not guilty. Amen.
