On November 22, 1963 62 years ago, President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas Texas.
On exhibit at The Gettysburg Museum of History a piece of the leather upholstery from JFK's limo from the Texas trip stained with the President's blood. After the assassination the Presidential limo was sent to Ohio to be cleaned and updated. The leather upholstery was taken out after attempts to clean the blood failed. Vaughn Fergunson was the Ford Motor company representative for the White House. He was in charge of the limo during it's renovation. He saved a piece of the blood stained upholstery. A chilling relic from one of America's darkest days.
