1. Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.2. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:3. Who forgiveth all thy iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;Psalm 103:1-3. "Bless the LORD" means, as you come to worship and adore the Lord God, come on your knees. Come with all your love and strength, and all your soul. "Bless his holy name" means "kadosh." God's name is Holy and Sacred; it is separated from all ordinary things. He is Most High; nothing is higher. He is Almighty, the most powerful; He will never be defeated. All others are inferior to the eternal, self-existent One. He is my God, the God of my Salvation, worthy of all praise and obedience. Our praise should not exclude all His benefits, which are provided because of His grace and mercy. The psalmist explains the benefits: the pardon of all iniquities, the grossest of our sins and transgression "Who healeth all our diseases" refers not to health problems but to spiritual diseases of the soul. "Who redeemeth thy life from destruction" has nothing to do with the body. This verse can be translated as "who redeemed your life from hell." Only Jesus can do it. Amen.
