This stunning satellite image shows South America, with prominence for Argentina π¦π·, under a linear and extensive cloud formation that accompanies the blotting of the Andes Range, sharply outlining the relief. This type of formation is typical of cold fronts or orographic barriers, when masses of moist air coming from the Atlantic collide with the driest, coldest air coming from the Pacific and are forced up to meet the Andes, cooling and condensing into clouds.
