10. By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
Hebrews 10:10
Jesus said, "I come to do your will, O God."
The blood of animals could not purify or cleanse anyone from sin, seeing it had to be done over and over.
Jesus Christ, by one offering, paid the debt of sin for all believers.
Jesus, by His sacrifice, removed guilt because the debt has been paid. Being declared not guilty, we have been rescued from the punishment, which was death.
Thus, the soul has been reborn from death into eternal life.
Sin is an unholy, wicked, loathsome act against a holy God.
The price to rectify this was extremely expensive; the cost paid was Jesus's life in blood.
The benefit to believers is verses 17: "And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more." 18: "Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin."
Jesus is the perfect and only acceptable sacrifice for sin. He only needed to die once for all who received Him. Amen.
