28. So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.
Hebrews 9:28.
The author of Hebrews 9 makes clear certain things that apply to mankind who are still with us.
It is appointed to all: if we live, we must die.
There is nothing eternal in this body of sin.
The Mosaic Law purged sin with the blood of animals. Over and over, Christ gave His life one time for all sins.
Those who are alive can make Christ their Savior.
But death removes any choice. Death fixes everything, and no changes can be made.
After death, all things are considered, and judgment is handed down.
Rewards to the followers of Christ. Eternal destruction for all who refuse His mercy and grace.
For Christ shed His blood once for all sin.
This is the mission He completed at the end of His ministry.
Yet Christ is returning as the sinless Savior to redeem all who wait for Him.
