FUN FACT: It was Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson who ruled to issue a 'stay' to prevent releasing any SNAP funds while the government remains shut down.The SNAP Contingency Fund is designed to be used for an unavoidable catastrophic emergency or a natural disaster.The government shutdown does not qualify as such an emergency because it is a conscious decision being made by Democrats to keep it shut down -- which could be easily rectified if they would vote to reopen it.
