6. But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.Hebrews 8:6. The author explained that Jesus is our High Priest who is set at the right hand of the Almighty, in a place of authority. Jesus became a better sacrifice above any that had been offered. Jesus presides over a better priesthood with a better covenant and better promises. Jesus is Mediator over a better covenant. A mediator is one who stands between two parties, bringing them together. The Almighty Father began His redemptive plan with Abraham. It continued in another step with Moses, bringing the people to God.Another step is when God tells David he will be king over Israel, and one of his offspring will rule as King forever. The final step is Christ, Savior, King, Priest, Redeemer.Christ alone has fulfilled all the requirements for all to enter into His kingdom. There is no other path, no other door. The followers of Christ have Jesus standing between them and judgment. All others will only see judgment and eternal destruction. Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life Eternal. Amen.
