18. For the scripture saith, thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn. And, The labourer is worthy of his reward.
1 Timothy 5:18.
Paul's instruction to Timothy was that a pastor who preached the Gospel and taught the meaning of the word of God deserves double honor, meaning wages. The church should be supported by its members.
The word of God provides for the ox as it treads out the grain; the more it works, the more it can eat.
To think that God would provide for an ox and not a pastor is foolish. Paul was supported by several churches, and he earned a living making tents.

Christ said it was easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to get into the kingdom, meaning a rich man is blind to his spiritual poverty. For him to humble himself before God would be as easy as a camel going through the eye of a needle.
Mind you, there are many examples of godly rich men in the Bible who put God before wealth: Abraham, Job, Solomon, David. It's not the money that's bad; it's what you do with it. Amen.
