5. Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto nations.Jeremiah 1:5. The Lord spoke to Jeremiah as a young man, who came from a godly family of priests. Yet Jeremiah needed a personal relationship with God, as we all do. God spoke to him about how He was aware of Jeremiah before he was formed in the womb, before he was born, as God knows all of us. God set him apart from all others as a prophet unto all nations, not just to Israel, and we can learn from him. God put His hand out and touched Jeremiah's mouth, saying, I have put My words in thy mouth. God will do the same for us. God told Jeremiah, do not be afraid of kings, princes, priests, for I have made thee a defended city, an iron pillar, a brazen wall. And so does God protect all who follow Him in love and obedience. God said, I am with you, to deliver you; none who fight against you will prevail. How much more are the followers of Christ protected. Amen.
