5. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;1 Timothy 2:5. Paul explains that because Christ is God and Man, He stands between a Holy God and sinful men. Christ stands for all men, for kings, and those in authority.Christ gave Himself a ransom for all, but not all received His gift. Paul's instruction is to pray for men, in humble appeals to God, in giving thanks, and intercessions, and to live quiet and peaceful lives, in godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who gave all to have mankind come to the knowledge of the truth of who Christ is, so all may be saved by His love. Amen.
