12. And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry;1 Timothy 1:12. Paul, an apostle, placed in the position by Christ. Who, being a blasphemer and persecutor, and of great harm to the church of Christ, obtained mercy and received salvation because of God's love. This man, who had done so much harm, is now committed with the trust of the Gospel message. Paul's actions were passionate to exterminate what he thought was an attack on Jehovah God. In his encounter with Jesus, he was reformed, made new in heart and spirit, and turned 180° to follow Christ, against everything he had learned up to his conversion. Paul preached what he learned first hand from Jesus, that the Gospel message united all of mankind in Christ; no more divisions between Jews and Gentiles, all are equal in Christ, and all will receive eternal life. Though our sins are forgiven, not all will be rewarded equally, for we will be judged on what we do for Christ in this life. Amen.
