Next time you fly overseas, look for the Eiffel Tower, Mt Everest and the Pyramids... you won't be able to see them because they're hidden behind the curvature of the earth. Hope this helps!

That is just the rounded edge where the ice wall is and you would fall off. Viewed from high up. Probably above the north pole or at least reasonably near the north pole, looking out towards the edge.
