LOL. This was our daughter, the escape artist, who is... well, older... and gave birth to an escape artist of her own.
True story: At sunrise, at 18 months, Shan climbed out of her crib, went down stairs, pulled up floor bolt closure at the bottom door, dragged a dining room chair to the front door, put a box on it, took a wire coat hanger in order to reach and pull down the top bolt closure so she could get outside. THEN she went across the street and around the corner so she could play on Suzie’s swings. Suzie heard her and called to ask if we knew where our daughter was.
Needless to say, that scared us to death. Her pediatrician told us to put a lock on the outside of her door and a child sticker in her window. He said... now that she knows how to do it, the odds of a fire were minuscule compared to the odds of disaster if she escaped again.
