I remember in 1987 there used to be a law the prohibits foreign countries to buy real estate properties here in the U.S. it's because Japanese were door knocking in Hawaii and offering cash to homeowners and sold it to them on the spot. That's what stated the prohibition cause tue price of real estate in Hawaii had gone up based on cash sales and the high in demand. Almost majority of real estate in Hawaii increased purchased by Japanese. I remember it being on the news in 1987So what happened? Who released that law allowing foreign countries to own piece of land real estate here.
