19. But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19. Paul was given aid while in prison from the church at Philippi. And he responded that God would supply all they needed because they gave out of their poverty. What we need, the necessities of life, is separate from what we want or desire. In Matthew 6, Christ says everything you need will be supplied if we seek the kingdom of God first. You cannot receive the kingdom without Christ. Some people look at this verse as receiving wealth, but it's much, much more. Look at the verse, saying all your need, (with all you need.) Money is a tool with limitations; it cannot heal you, nor extend your life. It will not open heaven's gates, nor bar the gates of hell. Money has no power in the spiritual realm. Jesus can supply everything needed in the spiritual world: forgiveness, pardon, restoration, love, His presence, His guidance, and the list goes on and on. All these things money cannot purchase. When we come before the Lord, carefully review what you ask for; Christ already knows what you need. Amen.
