10. That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;Philippians 3:10. Paul exposed the treasure in knowing Christ in a personal way. To know His blood has made me clean, that His righteousness covers me, that He has broken the bonds of sin, that He is a King who rules over sin and subdued it, He is the Shepherd of my soul, He is the only door to the Kingdom of God, He is the Bread of Life the food my spirit feeds on. We must strive to know Christ in such a way. To know Christ and the power of His resurrection, in this new life, is the evidence that everything of Christ is true. To know the power of overcoming sin, the life-giving power of being raised as Christ was raised from death. We know Christ as we share in His sufferings, which may be many, and in His death, which we will only experience once. My friends, this is knowing Christ our Lord. Amen.
