10. That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; Philippians 2:10. Paul here revealed that everything that was created by Christ will be subject to Him. Christ did not crown Himself, but the Father has elevated Him and placed Him on His throne. Every spirit, angel, everything in heaven, every living person on earth, and all that have died on earth shall at the name of Jesus bend the knee in subjection to Christ the Lord. Jesus is not only exalted by the Father, but the whole world is brought into submission to Christ, living or dead. Paul is not saying this is universal salvation. Paul means every person will confess out loud that Jesus Christ is Lord! Listen carefully, every person ever born, alive or dead, will confess Christ as Lord, some with joyful faith, the others with resentment and despair.
