THE DEMOCRAT SCHUMER SHUTDOWN Cartoon published 09/30/2025 Democrats are ready to force a government shutdown to appease their far-left base. Sure, the Republicans control both the House and Senate, but 60 votes are required in the Senate to keep the government going, and there are only 53 Republican Senators—and Mitch ’Turtle’ McConnell cannot be trusted to deliver a vote that helps Trump. Chuck Schumer controls his Democrats as the Senate Minority Leader and Hakeem Jeffries is the House Minority Leader. Both want money to fund benefits for illegal aliens. They both want to return to open borders. They don’t seem to realize that Trump handily won the presidential election. Perhaps they consider any kind of negotiations with Republicans a victory over Trump. Perhaps Schumer still thinks there’s a Covid crisis, thus allowing a power grab by Democrats. Their Trump Derangement Syndrome is that ingrained. Schumer is a New York Democrat who puts cheese slices on his hamburgers before the raw meat has a chance to cook. Now he’s putting cheesy, far-left desires ahead of common sense—possibly out of fear that AOC will steal his Senate seat and his speakership. By shutting down the government and standing up to Trump and his Republicans, Schumer thinks he will cement his job as Minority Leader, but the consequence might be dire for many Democrats. The Democrats will try to gaslight the public and blame Trump for the shutdown, it’s YOUR FAULT they will scream. Americans know better than to trust a Democrat. Trump should take the opportunity and eliminate many government jobs—mostly held by Democrats. Making government leaner is a good idea. It will be a pyrrhic victory at best for Schumer. — The GrrrTeam
