20. Hell and destruction are never full; so the eyes of man are never satisfied.Proverb 27:20 The grave and Hell will receive humanity and never turn one away, saying, "We have no room." The grave devours all bodies put into it and is ready to receive more and more. The eyes of men, our carnal nature seeking pleasure in sin, is an endless task. For the pleasure of sin is for a season until it turns into destruction. Sin is unable to give lasting pleasure or peace, for its end is eternal destruction. In Christ is peace, joy unspeakable, and eternal life. For where we came up short, Christ fulfilled the law and paid the debt of sin with His own life, giving us the gift of pardon and forgiveness, and life eternal with Him. Amen.
