Solomon, of all men on earth, knew the uncertainty of wealth. Whatever is acquired in this world will be left here at the last breath. The man who has eternity in his heart will be nourished by God, for Christ's reward is the only thing you can take with you. Every penny will be left behind. I saw a bumper sticker that said, "Driver carries no cash, treasures stored in heaven." The Pharaohs of Egypt laid up large amounts of wealth in pyramids for their afterlife, but it was stolen by men who invaded their tombs. Christ's instruction is to store spiritual wealth in heaven instead of storing material possessions on earth, where, if not stolen, they still would remain behind when our clock runs out. Amen.
