"I've been saying we need to bring back political ass*ssinations. I don’t feel bad, and I don’t think that everyone deserves the right to free speech."

She referenced Mao Zedong's essay "On the People's Democratic Dictatorship," arguing that free speech should be limited for "reactionaries, imperialists, and capitalists," and claimed her professor agreed with her views after class.
When Xu was put on blast, she responded by deleting the video, privatizing her social media accounts and going offline.
