news Joe Burrow Foundation ditches board member judge who celebrated Charlie Kirk's ass*ssination
Ohio
The Joe Burrow Foundation, the charitable organization founded by Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow in 2022, announced the termination of an advisory board member because of his "inappropriate remarks" related to the ass*ssination of Charlie Kirk.
While the foundation did not name the person in its statement, multiple reports confirmed that Hamilton County Municipal Court Judge Ted Berry, who had served on the board, was the person removed.
The foundation's mission focuses on supporting children's mental health and combating food insecurity in Ohio, Louisiana, Kentucky, and Indiana, and has distributed over $2 million in grants since its inception.

Berry, a judge in Cincinnati since 2005, posted several Facebook messages shortly after Kirk's death that appeared to celebrate the killing. including:
"Rest in Hatred and Division"
"How’s he feel about gun violence & gun control in Hell, now?"
"So, a white guy killed him! Color it KARMA!"
Ohio Republican State Representative Adam Matthews demanded Berry's resignation, calling his remarks "vitriolic, racially charged, and political language" that erodes trust in the courts.
Matthews threatened to file a formal grievance with the Ohio Supreme Court's Office of Disciplinary Counsel if Berry does not step down.
The Hamilton County Democratic Party also distanced itself, confirming Berry would no longer be honored at an upcoming event.
Formal grievances have been filed, and the Ohio Office of Disciplinary Counsel is investigating potential violations.
The full statement from the Joe Burrow Foundation, posted on X reads:
“The Joe Burrow Foundation was founded on the belief that everybody has the responsibility to do good. We have terminated an advisory board member that made inappropriate remarks in light of recent events and they are no longer associated with the Foundation. Their comments do not reflect our values or our mission. We are committed to accountability and respect for all.”
