11. The Lord gave the word: great was the company of those that published it. Psalm 68:11. The psalmist reveals his knowledge of Christ. Christ preached the Gospel message in the open. The company here is the Apostles, and those converted, and all who have up to this very day spread Christ and His salvation message. To all who published it, is meant, everyone who has shared the Gospel message, in truth.Christ won the greatest victory on the cross for mankind, paying the price for all sin. The company of converted believers is a great army of preachers that shares in the victory of a battle they did not fight directly. Yet Christ has shared His justification, His righteousness, with every believer and eternal life with all who follow in His steps. Amen.
