1. Truly my soul waiteth upon God; from him cometh my salvation.
Psalm 62:1
The psalmist here emphasizes surrender, a calm silence before God, and God alone.
The nature of mankind is to search for an explanation. Yet in God alone rests all; He is the final word.
We search for what to believe, when and how to walk in God's way, when to be quiet, when to speak, and how to be at work or in the community.
This is why God keeps us waiting; all these voices of the natural man and our nature must be silenced. Each boasting voice and every light in the darkness must be extinguished until your soul is shut up unto God alone.
All our confidence and all our trust must be in Christ, for our salvation only comes from Him.
We will hear from the foundation of our salvation when we are completely focused upon Christ for His help, and we are firmly resolved to look nowhere else. Amen.
