The Israeli Venture Capital Ecosystem in America:
Israel is the largest recipient of US foreign aid. Adjusted for inflation, they have received ~$310B from US taxpayers. But what about from the US private sector? We found Israel got another ~$200 Billion from M&A since 2000! 🧵
We put together a spreadsheet of every major acquisition of an Israeli company by American corporations since 2000. US corporations have spent a total of ~$133 billion on acquisitions of Israeli companies since 2000, which is ~$200 Billion when adjusted for inflation.
In the financial industry, M&A means "Mergers and Acquisitions." For our study, we only focused on acquisitions, not mergers. But you could bet that from Mergers, Acquisitions, and IPOs, Israel has received over a trillion dollars in US private sector funding since 2000.
This poses a national security threat to the United States, since many of these Israeli companies were founded by members of Israeli intelligence. For example, Wiz, which was acquired by Google this year for $32 Billion, was founded by 4 members of Israel's Unit 8200, their most infamous intelligence unit. That means that Google both gave Israeli intelligence $32 billion dollars AND put their software (and spyware) into the Google Ecosystem (Okay, not all of the $32 billion dollars went to the founders, some of the money went to Wiz's investors like Andreessen Horowitz, a Silicon Valley Venture Capital Fund that openly targets IDF tech startup founders for investment, which effectively makes their VC fund a front for Israeli intelligence in the United States).
In addition, we also looked into as many Israeli startups and Venture Capital Funds operating in America founded by former and current members of Israeli intelligence as we could find, here is a list of some of them (someone should turn this stuff into a database):
