Just a memory of living on a boat and getting ready for a storm during hurricane season.
Here we are backing into the hauling bay at Bridgeton Boatworks. Step 1 was complete... we were on the hard. Next we took down the sails and cleared the decks of anything that could blow off right before we got hit with Irma. We were very lucky. The water rose 14 feet and the boats that were behind us went walkabout. Many wound up down town and some simply disappeared. As for Sea Wolf? We didn’t get a scratch. I credit that to two things… good preparation and God watching over us, as He always did… and still does.
