1. Lord, who can abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill? Psalm 15:1. The psalmist asks these important questions. Who can visit the Lord in His home? Who is able to stand before Him and worship Him in His holiness? Who is permitted to come and live with Him forever? In the 4 verses that follow, guidelines are given. Man has never been able to accomplish this obedience. So a blood sacrifice had to be offered before going into the tent of Jehovah. The holiest part of the tent, only the high priest could enter, and only once a year, separating the Ark of the Covenant, the presence of God, from the congregation. When Christ offered up His life, He paid the price for every sin. At His death, the curtain a foot thick was torn from top to bottom. Christ's death removed the barrier between God and mankind. And we have Christ's promise that if we follow in His steps, we shall be with Him for all of eternity. Amen.
