UNCLE HERSHEL TAKING A SPIN. This is cool. So, Cracker Barrel headquarters is here in Wilson County, TN. And, you know about the latest logo controversy as the restaurant chain temporarily updated it removing Uncle Hershel sitting on a wooden chair and leaning on a barrel, and the words “Old Country Store.” Of course, by now you know in the wake of huge public outcry, Cracker Barrel reversed course and went back to the original logo with Uncle Hershel. AND, perhaps in honor of this change back, someone has been driving around the Lebanon square for hours with a statue depicting Uncle Herschel McCartney — the uncle of Cracker Barrel founder Dan Evins. Several of you sent me photos. He was a Cracker Barrel goodwill ambassador and a key inspiration for the original logo. HE’S BACK. -Unknown-
