This is for those who refuse to rent apartments or houses to people with dogs: I can’t take my dog to the beach for a walk because it bothers you on your vacation. I can’t rent a house because I have a dog. I can’t even bring my dog on public transport. But I can take my dog through the rubble to find you after an earthquake. I can send my dog into the forest when you get lost in the mountains without a map or GPS. I can send my dog under the snow to reach you after you ignored warnings and went off-piste. I can send my dog into the water when you swim despite the red flag. Because in the end, to you, it’s just a dog. But that same dog will save your life. Dedicated to all those who don’t love dogs.
