Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded toward one another, according to Christ Jesus.Romans 15:5Paul includes this prayer in this letter, that the Holy Ghost would do a work in believers so as to be joined in the unity of Christ, Jew and Gentile.The Jews thought they were above the Gentiles, being the chosen people. The Gentiles thought they were better than Jews, because they crucified Christ.Paul states in Ephesians 2:20 that Christ is the cornerstone, which joins Jews and Gentiles into one body, the church founded by Christ the Lord.Paul's prayer is to unite all in Christ, for we have been purchased by His blood. Christ, being no respecter of persons, died for all. Amen.
