9. For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living. Romans 14:9.Christ here is revealed by Paul as Lord of the dead and living. Both saved and condemned have Christ as Lord. The condemned obtain this knowledge after it is too late.The saved, both dead and living, have used this knowledge to serve Christ. Those who have passed are in a better place, with no pain, sickness, or suffering or temptation. They have a short experience with death, then they shall experience an eternal reward in Christ.Those of us here today can make the most of the time given us to share Christ and His salvation.For this is God's greatest gift to man, His Son, Christ Jesus. And mankind can share no greater gift than Christ.For this reason Christ the Lord became a man, experienced death, and revived, defeating Satan, sin, and eternal death. He arose back to heaven and sits at the right hand of the Almighty.He is waiting for us. Amen.
