TRUMP’S CAPITAL CLEAN UP Cartoon published 08/11/2025 President Trump will federalize law enforcement in the District of Columbia and bring in the National Guard to clean up Washington DC and make it safe for residents and visitors. Naturally, the Democrats are outraged. They claim crime has dropped precipitously. New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani even called Trump’s measures ‘cruel.’ Has crime gone down in Washington DC? The Democrats control the statistics and that makes the numbers suspect—much like the old Soviet Union used to distort economic figures and make them shine in order to validate totalitarianism. The Democrat Party has become the crime party. Biden encouraged criminals to waltz in over our border, thus brining a crime wave. The Dem’s ‘no bail’ policies (which Mamdani endorses) encourages more crime. Instead of staying in jail, criminals are immediately released back onto the streets. This is becoming the case in all of our major cities—all run by Democrats. Homelessness is rampant along with high taxes and bankrupt policies. Corruption and chaos happen due to Democrat policies. The president wants to turn the tide. Since DC is not a state and has no governor, Trump is assuming those responsibilities. One suggestion is the creation of more mental health facilities. Trump himself mentioned this, and many homeless people have mental health issues and are addicted to drugs. The Democrats treat the problem with providing them with free drugs. That’s crazy—and many Democrats themselves belong in mental institutions, but let’s hope Trump can send the homeless with mental health issues to places where they can receive real help—not handouts. Again, the biggest reason for the decline of our crime-ridden cities rest at the feet of Democrats. Voters need to wise up and stop sending them to office. Why would Californians elect the lying, corrupt Adam Schiff as Senator? Are voters happy that Al Green stood and raised his cane in the president’s direction and yelled obscenely, thus disrupting Trump’s speech? His behavior bordered on insurrection. Then there are grifters like Nancy Pelosi—too many going to Congress end up becoming filthy rich by means of dirty deals and insider trading. Meanwhile their cities become s___holes, such as Pelosi’s San Francisco. We need to clean up the cities and it begins at our nation’s capital. — Ben Garrison
