8. O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.Psalm 34:8The psalmist King David invites all to share in his joy of the Lord.Taste and sight are physical senses. The psalmist challenges every reader of this Psalm to experience God's goodness in person; it can only come in a personal encounter. As one can feel the heat of a fire or taste the sweetness of honey, you need not persuade him of his senses. So it is with Christ the Lord; one experience is enough for one to believe. This tasting must be more than one lick of an ice cream cone.Tasting the Lord should be the enjoyment of His illumination of the darkness in your life. Who, after tasting the forgiveness of all sin, would return to their darkness? Amen.
