3. Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?Romans 6:3In baptism, we drown the old nature as if it died on the cross with Christ. And being accepted into the family of God as heirs, we will be raised from death as Christ was raised from death. This is the illustration given by Paul as we come up from the water.We are freed from the old nature of sin, and now the Spirit of the Living God guides us. Sin having no more rule over us, for we are now covered in Christ's righteousness.For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
