20. And when neither sun nor stars in many days appeared, and no small tempest lay on us, all hope that we should be saved was then taken away.Acts 27:20.Paul is being sent to Caesar in Rome by ship. After warning the guards that the ship and their lives were in danger, Paul's advice was ignored. Now they are in serious peril; the ship is being driven through the Mediterranean Sea blind, unable to see during the day, and unable to navigate by the stars at night. The crew and passengers, a total of 276 souls, have no hope of survival. Paul states that an angel of the Lord, whom Paul served, has spoken to him, saying no lives will be lost but the ship will be destroyed. And Paul believed God. So after 14 days and nights, the ship ran aground on an island called Malta. The Almighty, Christ the Son, the Holy Ghost, all keep their word. Never has anyone put their trust in Christ and been disappointed. Amen.
