Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.John 17:17.Jesus prays for His own, to be kept from Satan's evil schemes and strategies.Jesus' second request is to sanctify His disciples and all who follow Him.This word sanctify means to set apart and devote to God. It is a work of God in us and through us.Jesus is the living Word of God. Jesus is Truth; there is no sin or lie in Him.The more truth of God's word you believe, the more sanctified you become. The operation of truth on the mind is to separate a man from the world to the service of God. If you do not read the Bible, how can you believe it?Christ has completed the work of the redemption of mankind. It is up to each individual to receive or refuse Christ. Take time and think: is anything in this world worth missing Christ's reward? Amen.
