2. Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of thy people, thou hast covered all their sin. Selah.3. Thou hast taken away all thy wrath: thou hast turned thyself from the fierceness of thine anger.Psalm 85:2-3.A psalm of the sons of Korah. This psalm clearly speaks of Christ's work, bringing the people out of the bondage, or captivity of sin.The meaning here is being a slave to sin, like an addiction to alcohol or drugs, or anything destructive.Christ, through His work on the cross, has covered every believer's sins with His blood. No longer are these sins visible, nor can any punishment be given; the debt is paid in full.Christ has taken all the wrath of God for sin upon His body, and by His death, has pardoned everyone who believes. You cannot make anyone pay a debt that has already been paid. The Almighty sees us as not guilty because of His Son Jesus. Amen.
