If you live in or are ever in New Bern, NC, and like donuts and good coffee, you HAVE to go to NC Donuts at 2909 Trent Rd. Their donuts put Dunkin’ to shame and are HUGE. The coffee is hot and perfect… and the place is immaculate. A young couple from Thailand own it and they’re lovely… and the store is immaculate! Oh! They sell ice cream, too, which is important on a hot summer day

Those are the best donut places. The ones that make donuts on site. We have Spunky Dunkers in Palatine, IL and County Donuts in Schaumburg, IL here that make donuts on site.

I was in New Bern about 30 years ago to visit a friend. It was very nice then. Hope it still is. So many places have deteriorated.
