1. The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good. Psalm 53:1. This psalm is almost identical to Psalm 14:1. Strong's Concordance has two definitions of the word fool. Kesil, fool, simpleton, slow. Nabal, foolish man or woman, wicked, one who hates God, insults Him, and His servants. God looks down from heaven to see if any seek Him. All of mankind is lost in sin. Yet Nabal, this fool will not seek God. They are overtaken by the world and seek nothing but its pleasure, leading to destruction. The psalmist has put us into this category, and if we do not seek Christ, we shall be destroyed with the wicked. The psalmist, pleads, Oh that salvation of Israel were come out of Zion. Salvation, the meaning, of Yesua, deliverance, salvation by God. Zion, Siyon, meaning Jerusalem. Christ is the promised Messiah, who came and preached deliverance to the captives of sin in the gospel message. Fools, become wise who hear the message and turn to Christ the Lord. Amen.
