THE STATUE OF STUPIDITY Cartoon published 06/27/2025 It looks like Zohran Mamdani could likely become New York City’s next mayor. The Democratic nominee is a 33-year-old Muslim and socialist. He has made anti-semitic statements, but many leftist Jews in New York will vote for him anyway because they want their precious socialism. He was also endorsed by fellow communists AOC and Bernie Sanders. The Mamdani platform includes: • Defunding the police • Abolishing the prison system • Universal health care • Banning all guns • Decriminalizing sex work • Making LGBTQ+ part of the government • Sexual mutilation of children allowed • Decriminalized drugs and free drug injection • Ending cash bail • Ending cooperation with ICE • Government run halal grocery stores • Free public transit • $30 minimum wage • Tax hikes on hard working people who became successful • ‘River to the sea’ attitude toward Israel Socialism has never worked and never will work. It’s an illogical system advocated by a crazy man named Karl Marx. Socialism breaks the link between effort and reward. There is no such thing as a free lunch (Milton Friedman) but socialists ignore logic, reason, and evidence in favor of their impossible utopia. People are not equal, but socialists will always advocate using big government to force that equality. Mamdani’s socialism will predictably fail—even though he combines it with Islam. New York City will be far worse off should he get into office, and when the city collapses they’ll come crying to US taxpayers for a bailout—urging us to throw away endless money to help make their socialism work. It will never work. Luckily the Democrat primary that Scamdani won had a very low turnout, only 30% of New Yorkers voted. Hopefully more people will wake up and vote against Mamdani in the general election, unfortunately the Democrat voter base would vote for an avocado if it had a D on it. — The GrrrTeam
