This is from the front page of the Lexington Herald leader Lexington Kentucky’s daily newspaper on August 5, 1992 when I led a protest in support of a church getting a building permit that was refused originally by the Jessamine County Board of adjustments after several hundred some said 1000 or so protested from several churches they relented and gave them a permit.They also interviewed me for channel 18 news in Lexington.This is the story of how it came to be.It was known that they would not give them a building permit, but they gave a permit to a bar to build on the next corner adjacent. I was praying and said, Lord, I don’t know why someone does not help that church…and the Lord spoke to me and said “why don’t you help them”.
