A lot of people don’t realize what’s really happening during a conversation. It’s not just words being exchanged... it’s energy...
Every time someone vents, trauma dumps, or emotionally unloads on you… they’re transferring energy into your space. And if you’re not aware of it, that stuff sticks. You start feeling heavy, anxious, drained... and most of the time, it’s not even yours.
This isn’t about blaming anyone. Sometimes people just need to let things out. But if you’re constantly the one people run to… and you’re not clearing your field or setting boundaries… you’ll eventually burn out.
You can be loving without taking everything on. You can care without becoming a sponge. We’ve got to stop thinking that absorbing everyone’s pain is noble. It’s not. It’s self-abandonment.
Pay attention to how you feel after interactions. If you feel worse, it’s a sign your field got hit. Clean it. Breathe it out. Cut the cord. Do what you need to do. Because your light? It’s not meant to be buried under someone else’s chaos.
Protect your energy. No one else is going to do it for you.
