January 18, 1897 The New Orleans Public Library at Lee Circle opens. It was made as a replica of a famous building in Rome. It was the main library for many generations of New Orleanians till it was torn down in 1959! I have questions.. Augarten bridge, Vienna, Austria Built in one year 1872 to 1873!? Only to be demolished in 1927 Was so easy to built, they could build something greater in less time. Why is half of the building buried underground? Ursiline Academy, Galveston, Texas
