23. Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.John 14:23. A disciple asks Christ, how can you make Yourself known to us and not the world. Showing there is a separation from Christ and the world. Jesus very plainly says if anyone loves Me, they will keep my words, this is more than commandments. This is everything Jesus said, and hearing we must do. There is no picking through His words, keeping what we like, and dismissing the rest. This is what separates a believer from the world, they obey out of love for Christ. Jesus said where love and obedience are shown, the presence of the Father and Christ will make a residence, a home in the believers. Jesus clearly states that these words came from the Father, who sent Him. All believers have an obligation of obedience to Christ's teachings. How can you know what He taught, if you do not know His words. If you have no hunger for God's word, you have no hunger for Christ. Amen.
