44. Jesus cried and said, He that believeth on me, believeth not on me, but on him that sent me. 45. And he that seeth me seeth him that sent me.46. I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.John 12:44-46. These are the last words of Jesus to the multitude in John's gospel. Christ is shouting to the people in a final appeal to believe. Those who refuse Christ will experience consequences they cannot escape. Jesus came in submission to the Almighty. Christ did the will of the Father in obedience. Christ's authority was connected to His submission to the mission the Almighty set before Him. Rejecting Christ is rejecting the Almighty Father who sent Him. Christ was sent to bring light to a world of darkness meaning sin. Where Christ the Light is no darkness can be. Amen.
