27. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:28: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. John 10:27-28. The gospel of John was written for one purpose, that we might believe in Christ. Believing He is the Son of God we may have life in His name. In today's verse, Jesus is surrounded by unbelieving Jews asking if He is the Christ. Jesus tells them plainly that those who believe in Him follow Him and obey. Those who follow are gifted with eternal life and no one can remove their reward. Jesus says I and the Father are one. Proving Jesus is God. The unbelieving Jews picked up stones to kill Him, but Jesus's time had not yet come. Today, around the world, in many countries, Christians are being murdered for their faith. Yet not one follower of Christ will lose their reward. Amen.
