21. I will praise thee: for thou hast heard me, and art become my salvation. 22. The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner.23. This is the LORD'S doing; it is marvellous in our eyes.Psalm 118:21-23. The psalmist speaks prophetically about Christ, as the stone rejected. The religious leaders, whose occupation was to build a foundation, a platform, something solid that would support the people's relationship with God. The Chief Stone Christ the Lord was rejected, because they were looking for a physical ruler to save them from the Romans. They had no spiritual ambitions, they rejected the laws of God given to Moses. Following the traditions of men which would never please the Almighty. They rejected Christ because he did not look like a king, he had no religious education, Christ did not approve of their religious traditions, and they did not like His friends or followers. The path of Christ from the Cross, to His resurrection, to His seat at the right hand of the Almighty, is the work of God alone. The Father lifted Christ up to a position above all created beings. This day that Christ became our salvation, only God could have made, and we rejoice, for we have been invited to be partakers of the power of God unto salvation. Becoming new creations in Christ Jesus, old things passing away, the bondage of sin. All things coming from God being new, in the Spirit of God. Amen.
